OPTICAL BONDING / DISPLAY INTEGRATION

From component stack to bonded assembly

Optical performance depends on more than adhesive choice. We assess the complete interface between display, touch sensor, cover glass, mechanics and operating environment.

ENGINEERING FOR THE OPERATING ENVIRONMENT

Built around operating conditions, not sector labels

Each project begins with the conditions the display must tolerate and the decisions the engineering team still needs to make.

The best process route depends on the display stack, geometry, materials, expected environment and service strategy. Our initial review identifies gaps early and defines what must be proven in samples.

PROJECT CONDITIONS / FROM THE OUTSET

Engineered for the requirements behind the application.

Industrial, transport and defence-related display programmes can have very different qualification requirements. We start by identifying which constraints must be resolved for the actual assembly — rather than assuming a standard solution will fit.

01Environmental exposure

Discuss temperature, humidity, sunlight and sealing expectations.

02Mechanical interfaces

Review mounting loads, vibration context, protective layers and tolerances.

03Verification pathway

Define sample objectives, documentation and acceptance criteria together.

Discuss your programme requirements

Any customer-specific qualification or standards compliance must be assessed and agreed for the actual project.

FEASIBILITY TO REPEAT BUILD

Start with the information you have.

You do not need a finished specification to begin. The route adapts to an early engineering question, a defined feasibility review or a procurement-ready RFQ.

01

Share the context

Application, display stack, environment and current project stage.

02

Technical review

Interfaces, constraints, missing data and candidate process route.

03

Sample objectives

Agree what the first build needs to demonstrate and how it will be reviewed.

04

Repeat build

Move forward only with controlled inputs and agreed acceptance criteria.

Before you reach out

What is optical bonding?

Optical bonding replaces the air gap between display layers with a transparent bonding medium, reducing internal reflections and improving the mechanical coherence of the stack.

Do you manufacture in the UK or in Germany?

Engineering and production take place at our facility in Braunschweig, Germany. Enquiries and project communication are organised for UK OEM teams.

What display sizes and stacks can you work with?

Feasibility depends on dimensions, weight, thickness, geometry and the chosen process route. Each stack is reviewed individually rather than measured against a generic size limit.

YOUR APPLICATION / OUR NEXT CONVERSATION

Have a display stack to review?

Tell us what is defined, what is uncertain and where the assembly will operate.
