Industrial HMI
Display stacks for machinery and operator interfaces
Review readability, touch use, cleaning, vibration, mounting and lifecycle requirements as connected engineering decisions.

Designed around the working environment
An industrial HMI can face mixed lighting, gloved operation, frequent cleaning, continuous use and long equipment lifecycles. Optical bonding can address internal reflection and stack coherence, while the complete solution depends on the selected display, PCAP, cover lens and enclosure.

Ambient & viewing
Ambient light, viewing angle, brightness, reflections and surface finish.
Touch & cleaning
Gloves, cleaning fluids, touch targets, controller setup and cover thickness.
Availability & change
Component availability, revisions, repeat builds and controlled change.

- Expected project quantities and lifetime
Frequently asked questions
Is optical bonding compatible with gloved operation?
Yes, but touch targets, controller tuning and cover-lens thickness need to be reviewed for the specific gloves and interaction method used.
Who handles enclosure sealing and EMC?
Those remain system-level responsibilities unless explicitly agreed. A bonded assembly is evaluated as part of the final HMI system, not as a sealed enclosure on its own.
What lifecycle information should we share?
Component availability, expected revisions, repeat-build volumes and the intended equipment lifetime help define a controlled change process from the start.
